2019 Best Translated Book Award Longlists Announced

It’s longlist time for the Best Translated Book Award, and the semifinalists in both poetry and fiction were announced this morning on The Millions. Each prize comes with a purse of $5000. This year’s fiction jury is made up of: Pierce Alquist, Caitlin L. Baker, Kasia Bartoszyńska, Tara Cheesman, George Carroll, Adam Hetherington, Keaton Patterson, Sofia Samatar, and Ely Watson. The poetry jury includes: Jarrod Annis, Katrine Øgaard Jensen, Tess Lewis Aditi Machado, and Laura Marris.
