Panel discussion: “The Old Woman, OBERIU and the Russian Dissident Tradition,” with Eugene Ostashevsky, Matvei Yankelevich, and Mark Krotov, moderated by Ian Dreiblatt. How many Russian translators does it take to screw in a still-vibrant avant garde tradition? Come find out! BAM is about to put on a version of “The Old Woman,” by the way, based on a story by the great Daniil Kharms. You’ll want to be prepared.
