Best Translated Book Award 2013 Finalists

The moment literary translators with books out in 2012 have been waiting for with bated breath, fear & trembling etc. has now arrived: Three Percent has just announced the Fiction and Poetry Shortlists for the 2013 Best Translated Book Award. With no further ado, here they are:

Fiction:

Big congratulations for everyone whose work was shortlisted this year! There are a lot of exciting books on the list this year – I’m glad not to be in the position of having to pick between them.

The winning books will be announced at 5:30 p.m. on May 3 at a CLMP event being held during the PEN World Voices Festival at NYU’s Washington Mews in New York. Keep an eye on the Three Percent website for details as the date approaches. The author and translator of each winning book will receive a $5000 prize.
